In November 2018 Nick Coley was selected to compete for a homeowners commission in the BBC1 Arts entertainment pilot show “Home is where the Art is”.
Filmed on location and at the Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester. It was a fascinating look behind the scenes, but more importantly it gave the opportunity for 45 artists to be filmed making unique artworks.
Nick's site is different to all the other sites we have built, Nick knew exactly what he wanted and needed someone who could build it.
"Movement", "Not a Run-of-the-mill studio" and "Unique" were just a few of the requirements in the brief.We had to design and build something which was totally different to anything we had done before.
Nick was most insistent that there had to be movement to the galleries as the visitor was guided through his works, also where we normally spend hours cropping and straightening images sent to us, Nick wanted his images to be presented in a way that would be visually different.
